This kit is for the JL owner who’s tired of white-knuckle steering and cooked pumps. We ditched the factory electro-hydraulic setup and went old-school mechanical with PSC’s Big Bore XD gear and high-flow pump. The result? Strong, predictable steering that doesn’t quit when you’re crawling, towing, or running lockers. Everything you need to keep your JL pointed where you want it.

About:About:

Why you’ll love it

  • No more wandering steering or “play” in the wheel
  • Handles 35s like a champ—even before you add Cylinder Assist
  • Pump stays cool, even when you’re working it hard
  • Built to take abuse and keep on turning

Heads‑up for installers

  • If you’re running a Synergy MFG Track Bar Brace (or similar), you must add HWK-689-PP and SYN-8869-10. Using the wrong bolts can crack the gear case.
  • Big Bore XD box is beefy—some aftermarket track bars won’t clear.
  • You’ll need a Tazer JL or JL Mini to disable the factory pump controls.

Ideal for

  • Daily drivers who hate sloppy steering
  • Weekend wheelers running 35s
  • Overlanders who need reliability miles from home

Fitment

  • Jeep Wrangler JL/JLU (2018–2020)
  • 3.6L Non-eTorque engines only

Use it with

  • PSC Cylinder Assist Kit for JL
  • HWK-689-PP Hardware Kit
  • PSC 715 Fluid (included, but keep extra on hand)
