Gear Type

The factory steering on 2nd Gen Dodge RAM trucks has always been a weak spot.

These are PSC BIG BORE XD® Steering Gears for 1994–2002 RAM 2500/3500 trucks, offered as PSC Certified Refurbished units.

Each unit has been inspected, rebuilt where needed, and tested to meet our performance standards. They may show minor cosmetic wear from prior use or handling, but they are fully functional and built to perform the same as our standard units.

This gear is based on the newer Dodge XD platform and modified for a direct bolt-in fit on your 2nd Gen truck. With a 45mm sector shaft, larger bearings, and an 80mm piston, it delivers tight, controlled steering and eliminates the wandering and flex you get with the factory box.

For most setups, this upgrade makes additional steering braces unnecessary.

Whether you’re daily driving, towing, or running larger tires, this is a straightforward fix for one of the most common problems on these trucks.
