PSC's Power Steering Conversion Kit is designed for Jeep CJ applications originally equipped with manual steering. It includes the major components needed to convert to a power steering system, including a PSC steering gear, PSC power steering pump, Borgeson telescopic steering shaft, hose assemblies, and a Pitman arm.

Engineered to work together as a complete package, this kit provides a reliable solution for upgrading steering performance while simplifying component selection and installation.

Note: A power steering pump mounting bracket and dual-sheave crankshaft pulley are required to complete the conversion. These components are not included and must be sourced separately. Compatible options may be available from original power steering-equipped vehicles or aftermarket manufacturers. The included PSC power steering pump also requires the factory power steering pump mounting studs used on power steering-equipped applications. If your Jeep was originally equipped with manual steering, these studs are not included and must be sourced separately.

To complete the conversion, you will need: 

  • A power steering pump mounting bracket, either from a donor vehicle or an aftermarket source.
  • A dual-sheave crankshaft pulley to run the extra belt to drive the pump These parts are not included in the kit.
  • Requires basic mechanical skills and tools
  • Check clearance with aftermarket headers or accessories

Important: The included PSC power steering pump requires the factory power steering pump mounting studs used on power steering-equipped applications. If your Jeep was originally equipped with manual steering, these studs are not included and must be sourced separately. A power steering pump mounting bracket is also required and must be sourced from a donor vehicle or aftermarket supplier.
